How to make Mutton Chops? -South Indian Mutton Chops Recipe - Mutton Chops Recipe Andhra Style - Mutton Chops Fry Recipe -Mutton Chops Grill - Mutton Chops Gravy - Viji's New Recipes - Meat Recipes

 MUTTON CHOPS

Ingredients:

  • Mutton - 1kg (mutton chops beaten with the back of the knife to tenderize)
  • Oil for frying
  • Ginger Garlic paste - 2 tbsp
  • Chilli  powder - 2 tsp 
  • Coriander powder - 3 tsp
  • Turmeric powder - 1tsp
  • Garam masala powder - 1 tsp
  • Fresh lemon juice - 1 tbsp
  • Raw papaya - 1/2 tsp (optional)
  • Onion - 2 (sliced)
  • Curd - 2 tbsp
  • Mint leaves - 1/4 cup
  • Coriander leaves - 3 tbsp (finely chopped)
  • lightly beaten Egg - 1 
  • Salt and Pepper to taste

 

Method:

Wash the mutton chops with 2 tsp of turmeric powder  and keep aside.

Marinate the chops with chilli powder, turmeric powder, coriander powder, ginger garlic paste, egg, curd, pepper powder ,lemon juice, salt , papaya paste (optional), 2 tsp of oil and for atleast 1to 2 hours. 

Heat oil in a  pan and onion fry for 2 to 3 minutes . Once onion is brown add mint leaves , garam masala powder and fry for 2 to 3 minutes. Add marinated mutton chops and mix thoroughly. Cook for 10 to 20 minutes.

Place the mutton chops on a flat serving dish, the bones on the inside and the flesh on the outside and microwave for 10 to 25 minutes minutes, or until the chops are tender, turning them over once in between.

Serve hot with rice or chapati or steamed vegetables.
